I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
